The Purple Loosestrife is a herbaceous plant of the family Lythraceae very widespread in almost all Europe, near the streams where it forms long inflorescences pink purplish similar to ears and easily recognizable. It is now regarded as an invasive plant in many parts of the world where it has been imported.
