Near the church Saint Gilles rebuilt in gothic flamboyant from 1414
This saint was popularized in the Middle Ages, he lived as a hermit in the 6th century in forests near Nimes. He founded an abbey on one of the roads linking Rome to Compostela. Its cult is flourishing since the Middle Ages and its tomb was a place of pilgrimage extremely frequented at that time. It is honored on September 1st when the entire neighborhood still meets today.
