Born in 1880, he became mayor of the city during the war in 1942, following Paul Delique until the liberation in 1944 when Maurice Marlière took over the reins.
He was president of the Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Abbeville emulation society, founder of the agricultural cooperative of Abbeville.
In 1914, he succeeded his father as director of the sugar factory, along this street, resigned in 1927 following disputes with the management of the Say group.
He was appointed an officer of the Legion of Honor in 1948 and died in September 1961 at the age of 81 years.
